Wanna try some chocolate cake!! Here's the recipe. Some points that you have to keep in mind while baking the cake: 1. Before starting with the mixing procedure, preheat the oven at 200 degrees centigrade. 2. Grease the cake tin with butter/oil and dust it with some flour and keep it ready. 3. After adding hot water, use a spatula to mix the batter. 4. Never leave the oven unattended. 5. Once the oven turns off when the timer ends, you can check whether the cake is done or not with a skewer. If the skewer comes out clean, then it is done. 6. If the wet cake mixture has stuck to the skewer, then the cake is not done. Extend the baking time, say for 5 minutes and recheck. Baking time varies from oven to oven. 7. Allow the cake to cool down completely before pouring the frosting over it. You will need a mixing bowl, hand mixer, a baking tin, and a wooden spatula. I have taken a 250 ml cup for measuring the ingredients.
In a mixing bowl, add 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour, ¾ cup cocoa powder, 2 cups granulated sugar, ½ tsp salt, 1 tsp baking soda, and 1 ½ tsp baking powder. Mix the dry ingredients well with a wooden spatula. To this mixture, add 2 eggs, 1 cup milk, ¼ cup vegetable oil, ¼ cup melted butter (room temperature), and 2 ¼ tsp vanilla essence. Mix the cake mixture using a hand mixer. Start with the slow speed and gradually increase the speed to maximum. Beat the mixture for at least 2 mins, and make sure it’s lumps free. To this, add one cup boiling water and then mix with a spatula until smooth.
Pour this batter in a prepared cake tin and bake in the oven at 180 degrees centigrade for 20-25 mins. Once done, remove the cake tin from the oven and allow it to cool before demoulding the cake.
Chocolate Frosting Preparation: In a mixing bowl, mix 2 cups powdered sugar, ½ cup cocoa powder, ¼ cup melted butter, ¼ cup milk, and ¾ tsp vanilla essence with a wooden spatula/hand mixer. Mix well to avoid any lumps and pour the frosting over the cake.
